Well, I did it...I finished the baby blanket on time with no extra time to spare! The recipient was very pleased with the homemade baby "quilt". The finished blanket was very soft and squishy, so I understand why she called the knitted blanket a "quilt". I am always very happy when someone appreciates my knitting :) If you are interested in making the Circle Blanket, which is based on my Circle Cloth, but has a much neater edge you can download the pattern here.

Enjoy :)
P.S. You can also use the edging from this blanket on the circle cloth if you would like a neater edge.

OOOH that is so beautiful. Thinking I may have to try that for one of the kids. As if they don't have enough blankets already. Maybe I'll make one with yellow and white as a hint for her to start having kids. ;)

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know where I can get the wool specified in the pattern? Or what a good alternative would be please?
ReplyDeleteLaura,
DeleteIn my area Pound of Love by Lion Brand can be found in stores like Joann's, AC Moore and Walmart. You can substitute any softv worsted or aran weight yarn. I prefer acrylic yarn for a baby because of the softness and ease of washing.
happy knitting :)
how do I get a copy of the pattern in English thanks
