One week to the day my second Nutkin Sock is complete. I LOVE 3 needle bind offs. Being able to finish off a sock so easily makes me much more interested in sock knitting. I think I might have caught the bug, better known as Sock Knitting Addiction. The dreaded kitchener always took away any of the joy of knitting the socks, even my beloved monkey socks included. I'm so happy I found my Nutkin :)
Now what should I knit next? Got an idea rolling around......happy knitting :)
Those look great, love the color!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are really rolling with your sock knitting! They both look fabulous! I'm impressed with the pattern & your liking the 3-needle bindoff. I'll surely have to try it for socks. (if I ever finish these hateful toe-ups) I dislike kitchener toes, too, ewy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't knitting wonderful...so many possibilities. :)
these are so purdy! 3needle bind off..look at you go.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Nutkins! I'm also in love with the 3-needle bindoff. I've never used it for socks though!
ReplyDeleteOOOOH I love those. I'm glad you found a pattern that has a 3 needle bind off.
ReplyDeleteThey look really great! I love the way hand knit socks feel on the foot. Is your whole family eying them too?
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would recommend you to try a toe up sock! They are the the bestest. :)
I guess before I can learn a 3 needle bind off I had better learn to cast on a sock first. Yikes, I still haven't tried one yet.
ReplyDeleteOh great...ANOTHER pair I want to make....darlin' you just kicked butt on those! Great job. Glad you found a bo you liked.
ReplyDeleteAh, now is no turning back! :o)Your socks turned out great!
ReplyDeleteThey are just gorgeous and they look so soft and comfy. I can definitely see those becoming a favorite pair of socks.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Lovely socks! I LOVE the 3-needle bind-off, though I haven't tried it for socks yet. But I'm going to, since I have to try to do Kitchener left-handed from the right side, which is an extra pain in the butt!
ReplyDeleteWhen you do the bind-off on the socks, do you do it with the socks right-side-out (wrong sides together), or with the socks turned inside out (right sides together)??
Yay!!! another sock knitter. They look fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful - and yet another technique for me to try...
ReplyDeletecool pattern and i like the color, too!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the color - I'll have to try the bind off next time....
ReplyDeleteThose really are beautiful socks - great job!
ReplyDeleteGah! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to make those for my Mom, since she conned me into making her another pair with my cashmere/wool yarn LOL.
ReplyDeleteSorry sweetie I tagged you.
Hugs!!!!
Those socks are really cool. I loke the style and the color.
ReplyDeletenice socks! i really like the color. : )
ReplyDeleteNow I know I'm not the only one who likes the 3-ndl BO! I've felt so lonely. I actually found someone in my knitting group who loves kitchener and volunteered to do my last sock. I think she just hated the thought of me doing that BO version. To each their own. (How could I pass up having someone else finish my sock for me though?)
ReplyDeleteLovely Nutkins! Enjoy wearing them and showing them off.
Those socks are beautiful. Is that a short row toe with a 3needle bindoff after the toe turn? Is that what you were talking about? They look fab! I especially like the color. Is it fixation? Sure looks like it.
ReplyDeleteAng
they look great! I knew there was a secret sockknitter hidden inside of you! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the color. Very nice socks !!!
ReplyDeleteLove the socks! That mellow green color is lovable too!
ReplyDeleteI hope to see more socks out of you now!
