An unusual braid

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day. I certainly did. We had a nice lunch out with my son and daughter-in-law. We had delicious pizza and calzones at Arizona Pizza. Look at the surprise they brought me.

A Money Tree Plant. Take a look at the trunk. It's braided. Never knew you could braid a trunk.

Isn't that the coolest thing ever? It's supposed to bring good luck.Hope so....I need some!!  They were ever so thoughtful to bring me such a nice gift.

Today I repotted my Meyer Lemon seedlings. I picked the strongest of the lot to repot. Threw the rest away. I think I have too many, but we'll see how many survive the transplant. I know I can't keep them all. We'll see how they do and go from there. With great anticipation I'm looking forward to seeing them mature.

I've been working on my multicolored blanket. I'm making do with the circular needle that I've been using. I should buy a longer one, but it's not that bad. I can handle it. Just have to do a little pushing and pulling here and there.

Picking and choosing the next set of color combos, keeps me interested. This pattern is a simple one, which is one of my own designs.

Until next time.....happy knitting :)

    1. It is really a very simple pattern, very easy. If it weren't for the color changes I'd probably get very bored ;)

  7. Love the colors in your blanket. Sometimes I think those that are planned as they happen are the most fun. I purposely bought what I thought was a large enough circular for the one I'm currently working on, and wishing I had bigger.

  8. Hi there! Love the money tree! I think braided trunks are nifty... I braided a wisteria vine in the backyard so it would grow like a tree.
