I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day. I certainly did. We had a nice lunch out with my son and daughter-in-law. We had delicious pizza and calzones at Arizona Pizza. Look at the surprise they brought me.
A Money Tree Plant. Take a look at the trunk. It's braided. Never knew you could braid a trunk.
Isn't that the coolest thing ever? It's supposed to bring good luck.Hope so....I need some!! They were ever so thoughtful to bring me such a nice gift.
Today I repotted my Meyer Lemon seedlings. I picked the strongest of the lot to repot. Threw the rest away. I think I have too many, but we'll see how many survive the transplant. I know I can't keep them all. We'll see how they do and go from there. With great anticipation I'm looking forward to seeing them mature.
I've been working on my multicolored blanket. I'm making do with the circular needle that I've been using. I should buy a longer one, but it's not that bad. I can handle it.
Just have to do a little pushing and pulling here and there.
Picking and choosing the next set of color combos, keeps me interested. This pattern is a simple one, which is one of my own designs.
Until next time.....happy knitting :)

I have seen fig trees with braided trunks, but never any other kind. It's very pretty AND a very thoughtful gift.
ReplyDeleteThe blanket looks like it would be a fun project to knit.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tree. Can't wait to see your finished colorful blanket.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool tree! I hope it brings you good luck.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice blanket! What stitch pattern are you doing?
It's a slip stitch pattern. Very easy!
DeleteLove your braided money tree! What a thoughtful gift. Your blanket is looking great. I love the colours. Is it a difficult stitch? It looks like fun to do.
ReplyDeleteIt is really a very simple pattern, very easy. If it weren't for the color changes I'd probably get very bored ;)
DeleteLove that plant!
ReplyDeleteThat blanket is going to be so cozy, is the pattern available?
I haven't written up the pattern yet. I'll see how the blanket comes out first....
DeleteLove the colors in your blanket. Sometimes I think those that are planned as they happen are the most fun. I purposely bought what I thought was a large enough circular for the one I'm currently working on, and wishing I had bigger.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Love the money tree! I think braided trunks are nifty... I braided a wisteria vine in the backyard so it would grow like a tree.
ReplyDeleteHope your lemon trees do well. My, you seem to have a green thumb.

Hope your having a great weekend!
Nice plant and blanket! I've seen tree azaleas braided like that. It's cool.

ReplyDeleteThat is a really cool tree. I love how your blanket is going & I can't wait to see it finished. mmm that would be so handy to have fresh lemons on hand. ;)
