I saw this pointsettia cloth on Rhoda's (g-girl) blog and knew I had to have this pattern. I love it! Checked everywhere with google searches including all the dishcloth sites and the pattern was nowhere to be found. Rhoda is wonderful; she sent me the pattern because it was the November's mid month KAL of the Monthly Dishcloth KAL yahoo qroup and it's not publically up on the net. I went out and bought some red yarn (Lion cotton) for this beautiful cloth. Guess what? I decided to go ahead and join the group! I think I'll enjoy it, but I hope I can keep up with all the reading of the posts! Here's the link to the groups blog, in case you might want to join, too. I probably should have joined sooner ( I'd have many more cloths ready for Christmas by now...better late than never! ) This group is another great pattern resource and I don't want to miss out on any more new patterns :) I have been enjoying making the dish/washcloths so much. I'm always ready to try a new pattern.
Happy Knitting :)
lol!! You're a nut! I did the same thing you did-I tried to find it myself. I joined the creator of the poinsettia cloth's yahoo group too (she's got other designs!!) And yes, there are a TON of patterns on the monthly dishcloth group. :) so glad you joined! you're gonna be glad you did!
ReplyDeleteOh, you'll love this group. Yes the posts can get a bit chatty but you can scan them via the digests for subject area.
ReplyDeleteSome of the other benefits is you get to look at so many other blogs and see what so many other knitters are doing! Have fun!
Wow, that's one gorgeous dishcloth! Would only be on display for my kitchen! ;o)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous - I love the colour. x
ReplyDeleteIf you get overwhelmed or just fed up (it seems like there's always some major drama going on), go to the list's Yahoo page and switch to "Special Notices" only. You'll still receive the pattern rows as they're sent out but not all that chitchat.
ReplyDeleteOh Im so happy you joined!! Ive been a member for almost a year and they do some great KALs. I didn't get a chance to do the poinsetta (okay, bobbles frighten me!!) but yours looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you decided to join us over the dishcloth KAL! I love your poinsettia cloth---it's one of the nicest I've seen! I'm still working on mine. I would have had it done in the car on the way home from the weekend, but nature interfered and terrified me out of knitting on the way home! LOL! As for the group, you can choose to read all of the messages on line and only receive special notices (like Manda said)---that's what I do...Happy Holidays
