I just finished my very first pair of monkey socks! After seeing too numerous to count examples of other knitting bloggers' renditions of monkey socks, I knew I had to give this pattern a try. Knitting my beautiful sock yarn from Jeanne was a joy. I love this wonderful pattern and now I know why so many others love it, too :)
They fit me perfectly! They are so soft and comfortable. I really enjoyed knitting with this fabulous yarn from Yarn Chef. I know I'll be knitting more of these socks in the future. The pattern was very easy to follow.
If I had know I'd have so much yarn left over, I would have definitely knit them a little longer. Oh, well, now I know....I also finished my DW towel using the DW cloth pattern x 6:
Fit's very nicely next to my sink. I'll enjoy doing my dishes and draining them on this towel. I'm sure it will be very absorbent.Lots of the striped yarn left over. Hope I can make another towel with what's left over. Not to bore you, but I finally finished another one of my big plastic bags:Way back in October my youngest son "T" helped me cut and link the plastic bags into yarn, so when he had the idea of using the blue (my last) Walmart bags on the bottom, I couldn't say no. This one is my fifth bag. The four bags that I previously made have been working out great. I take them with me to the supermarket and my only complaint is that they hold too much. By the time the clerk is finished filling the bags I can hardly lift them; they are just too heavy.
I have one more knitting project in the works - a prayer shawl. I can't even remember when I started it, so I guess I should try and finish it. Then what to knit next?...guess I have to put my thinking cap on :)
happy knitting everyone :)
