Eye Candy Friday
Here's my Eye Candy Friday photo:
Today I made a Swedish Coffee Ring from the Betty Crocker's International Cookbook with a couple of modifications. This coffee cake is made with a yeast dough flavored with cardamom and has an almond filling, yum! I love baking almost as much as knitting, but knitting is probably better for my waistline!
You haven't heard of Eye Candy Friday yet? Well then check out Purly White's post about Eye Candy Friday...after all it was her idea!

Hello, Hakucho! I have this cookbook, also...but, I must say your results look much better than the photo in the book...yours looks yummy...BRAVO! :)
ReplyDeleteYou made a beautiful coffee cake! How did it taste? I love almond filling - yum! Pat yourself on the back for making such a lovely bread!
ReplyDeleteI love bread baking, too, just don't have the need as much lately since our kids have flown the coop.
Bake/knit on!

Suzannerose and Denise, thank you both for your compliments :)
ReplyDeleteThis was my first time with this recipe and it is definitely a keeper. My family loved it. Told them not to get too used to me making it with the almond filling. Almond paste is so exspensive...so I thought next time I would try substituting chopped apples, raisins and cinnamon. How do you think that would turn out? I'm always up for an experiment!
